The world's largest contract electronics manufacturer reported second-quarter net profit of NT$59.97 billion ($1.86 billion), up 35% from a year earlier and above analyst expectations. The result highlights the growing importance of Foxconn's cloud and networking business as spending on AI data centers continues to expand.
The results are closely watched by investors in U.S.-listed technology companies because Foxconn sits deep inside the AI hardware supply chain. The company manufactures sophisticated server systems and racks used for AI workloads and is a major supplier to Nvidia.
